January 2007

It's been a long whilc since we posted any new pictures as the webmaster 's connection to this site was lost for a few months but we have a few new ones and are going to throw them in here. We realize a bunch of stage photos can be boring because after a while they all look the same so we have attempted to sprinkle a few other photos in here and even though we are back in connection, unfortunately there is still a computer glitch getting the new system to talk to the scanner so some really fun photos could not be scanned to digital. Anyway, we'll post those when that is finally fixed. Here are the new photos from the month of December to enjoy.

Dave, Casey, Katie and Ken about to eat barbeque on their free time at the Horseshoe in Chicago. They went to see the Hi-Q's play and were all in the same place at once.

This is a photo of our fiddle player Katie at the Second Fiddle in Nashville. She went there for Christmas. Isn't this a nice photo?

She visited her Dad and they played a couple of tunes together in the back yard.

Here's a picture of Ken with a special message on the back of his guitar. We have a nice photo of Ken on his visit back to the family farm in Iowa and him playing music with his Dad too. Unfortunately the scanner issue has delayed us posting that photo too. We hope to put that up sometime soon.

The Gin Palace Jesters played a gig before a Chicago Bulls basketball game at the United Center and took this photo with the Bulls. OK they were cardboard cut outs but since the band was only two-thirds strong they left room for the steel player and drummer to be added later.

If we were to doctor them in it might look like this. ReUNITED! Never mind Gabriel has no hands...Just pretend they are there. We are not going to recreate hands for pete's sake.

The Gin Palace Jesters had a gig at Chicago's Abbey Pub and Lizz Sisson lent her photography talent to taking these photos. Thanks Lizz.

This is a close up of the special NEW and IMPROVED super photogenic Gin Palace Jesters mic stand which lights up for your pleasure.

Rick and Gabriel made this show thank goodness. Good to have them there.

Gabriel smokes Drum and Ken chews Wrigley Juicy Fruit flavored gum.

Look at the concentration these adroit musicians display. Such professionalism!

This is a shot of the back of the lead guitarist /lead singer guy, the bass player and the fiddler.

Oh my! That's NOT CASEY STOCKDON! Jimmy Sutton suddenly realizes he is not Casey.

It's OK, he's over the shock. About 1 hour before the gig Casey had to assist a friend in a medical emergency and since Jimmy was coming to the show anyway, Dave called him up and told him to bring his bass. To finish the story, the medical emergency had a happy ending and everybody is OK now. Thank heavens!

Lucky for the Gin Palace Jesters, Jimmy Sutton is a good friend and a rock solid bassist with 25 years of playing experience. Thanks Jimmy for the emergency short notice fill in!

Fiddlin' Katie

Fingers o' lightnin'!

Dave is like the quarterback of a musical football team and often just calls option plays on the spot. Here he turns to communicate with Rick on the drums.

Doesn't Rick look so festive centered in this giant wreath. It would be funny if he brought that to the gig but it was just up on the stage already.

Gabriel also played later that same night with his other band Fulton County Line. He made a quick grab for his trademark cardigan sweater and got out of the GPJ shirt.

This is Scott Angle, head honcho for Fulton County Line.

Here is Robert "Big Sandy" Williams-American Troubadour with our Fiddlin' Katie Schadegg. What is going on here?

Jeff West, Katie Schadegg and Robert Williams in a photo booth. Fun stuff!

Katie, Dave, Casey and Ken at Chris and Heathers' annual Country Calendar show. Dave looks like he's been shot or something? Follow the link for more photos of the entire event, it was a DOOZY!

This is Chris and Heather yucking it up at the Calendar show. Visit www.undergroundbee.com to see more Robert Loerzel photos like this one of the show.

We just found this photo somewhere. It is of Casey in Germany a while back but it's a nice photo of him so we are including it here.
