On Saturday June 28th, 2003 the Gin Palace Jesters played at the 11th Annual Rockabilly Rebel Weekend. This years show was held at a club called Radio Radio and just as the event has been since it began, there was WAY too much fun, good music, good times, partying and debauchery going on for anyone's physical well being. The spiritual side of it is a whole 'nother matter! We had a ball playing and meeting so many fine folks and seeing old friends. It was a weekend we will not soon forget nor recover from. If anyone else has any pictures they'd like to share with us we'd be happy to put them up as we forgot our camera!

Here Dave and Rod do some harmonizing while the presence of Ronnie Dawson hangs near by. Ronnie has been in all our thoughts and prayers as he undergoes a heart wrenching battle for his health. We love you Ronnie and we wish you the best.

Front and center is the gal known all around the U.S. of A as the "Honkytonk Angel" Ms. Carrie Croll of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Looks like she's got a good view front and center. I don't know if you can tell but we are having a good time up on that bandstand!

OK this photo was NOT taken in Indy but the next group of photos we gleaned from this lovely gal Erin and this is just a nice picture of her with a Smilin' man. Hmmm...He looks VERY familiar! Thanks Erin!

"What song are we a doin'?"

Sounds perty!

Rod is wondering what happened to the air conditioning?

OK...you put yer little finger right...there...

Dave-"I can't do it"

Mike-"Come on ya whuss!"

It's so hot Dave is falling asleep?

OK, this photo is included to show what REALLY goes on at an Indy weekender. Alot of people lounging by the pool in various states of sobriety/recovery. Nice lookin' bunch of folks here.

This here is the talented Kenny Bruce, "Piasan" and Sundodger upright man for Bones Maki and the Sundodgers and he graciously sent the next set of photos for us to post. Thanks Kenny!

Rod and Dave take their music very seriously! It also was seriously HOT up on that stage.

A shiny healthy glow? We hope so.

Buddydoll and his mid 60's Sho-Bud.

Big Uncle Rod and his Big '49...Bass that is...ahem..

Dave and his 50's Silvertone with the DeArmond Silvertron pickups, Bigsby bar and Grover tuning pegs.

"The Hillbilly Vato" or as we sometimes refer to him..."Little Sandy" with the 1970's Jumbo Guild cactus and stars cowboy guitar.

"The Hammer Man" with a 2002 Craftsman Claw Hammer and vintage US Steel railroad spike getting into it. Play that hammer boy! PLAY IT!!!

See...he plays drums too.

Damn, and he sings too...Phew is he talented! A diamond in the rough I tell ya...Who'd a thunk?

The vocal assault.

Spiffy Ties!
